Possum: I am bit a bit squeemish on the Intelligent Design thing myself, but that's pretty minor in the scheme of things.

SVC: If there was a Reality TV show called "America's Hottest Governor", she would win that by a bigger margin than the slap down she handed the guy she replaced in the Primary, and the former two term D Gov she trounced in the General election. Sometimes my former home state can still make me proud!

a) I like Bobby Jindal. Reminds me of another sort-of Bobby... Robert McKenna - a.k.a. Rob, RMK - our state's Attorney General.

b) I like Sarah Paulin too - she's hot and more importantly, she's smart!

And once again Malkin and company are just plain ugly... There is no reason to be polite to this bunch.

BTW, it's a gaffe to call catholics born-again. I'm sure a lot of catholics use the term but it's still wrong. He's a convert. Catholics or others that confuse the two are just that - confused. Of course these days, when catholics divorce, use the pill, get abortions, and turn their kids over to homo priests, it's fair to say most catholics aren't catholics...

I never heard of him before so I'll wait until he puts some rubber on the road - or gets some put on his backside. I note you're sensible enough to allot two terms to Hillary before advancing this fellow. After that raping he might look pretty good... But so will anyone...

Seriously though I don't think someone who advocates junk like intelligent design and is anti-abortion will get far. Those views got a little traction until people woke up to realize there was a smidgen of a chance the bad old days might return. Then they lost bad.

Of course, by 2016 we may need to ban abortion just to insure enough cannon fodder for the jihad...

I think Palin will need to finish at least one term as Governor, to round out her resume, before moving up.. She can follow that with a second, or a try for the House or Senate.

Perhaps a Cabinet post, if the Right keeps the white house.

I can certainly see her in a 2012 run, if the winner in 2008 is unable (or unsuitable) for reelection.

Jindal rocks, and I Iove your 2016 ticket, I just think it should be the other way around (Palin-Jindal). If you like Sarah Palin, there's actually a fast-growing movement to get her on the ticket as VP in 2008 and her name is getting mentioned a LOT when it comes to Veep speculation. If your're interested, you can check out the Draft Palin Movement at palinforvp.blogspot.com.
Jindal and Palin (in any order) are definitely the future of the party!

Isn't it ironic that in a state so heavily controlled by Democrats and so often raised as an example of the evils of our current Republican administration that the people elected a Republican? I guess they recognized the difference in how things were handled in their state and that of their neighbors. It wasn't the national response that was lacking, it was the local response. Apparently the voters in Louisiana "get it".
