You're so anti-tax you don't look deeper into a giant scam. It's about Emerald Services and Waste Management pulling a big hose job and raking in bucks. I'd like to know who those mafia spawned criminals bought in the County and city governments in order to "lobby" their way into this deal. I do know they bought somebody...   The fact is the local GO's won't make a dime. They are paying the waste companies to take this material. Emerald for example has a compost plant in South King county and and is spending about $20 million building another one near Everett. King County's yard - and food - waste goes there. Emerald gets paid to take this stuff and then they sell the compost. Without the payola on the front end, and the enforcement making people recycle, Emerald wouldn't be able to find enough compost stock to fill a dumptruck. They have to have enforcers... Which perfectly fits their mob mentality,,,   And BTW their compost is junk. I wouldn't put it in a flowerbed - at your house...   It has nothing to do with taxes.
