I'd go here and start reading.  Frankly, not that my POV matters, I'm pessimistic that the promises of enforcement will be fulfilled (because of lack of national + political commitment) and that we could get anything better thanks to Tancredo torpedoing last year's deal and Democrats demonizing just about anything short of a warp speed path to citizenship.

But here would be my comprehensive immigration reform plan:

1. Fence both borders - Mexico and Canada.  At least the parts at high risk for smuggling.
2. Use National Guard troops to secure the borders as supplementary law enforcement.
3. Negotiate a guest worker program with Latin America.  Make fairness towards the worker - American and foriegn alike - priority one.
