2007-04-29 Link-O-Rama: Things the MSM is NOT Educating You About…

Here goes:

  • Rewriting History a Classroom at a Time: Fred Thompson says:

It's bad enough hearing from a distance about the bizarre anti-Semitic theories taught by heads of state as well as schools and religious leaders. Now, according to a study funded by the British government, we find out that some schools in Great Britain have stopped teaching history that is offensive to Muslim students.
The topics that have been erased from the curriculum, the study found, include both the Nazi genocide and the Crusades. This rewriting of history through omission wasn't some government policy. It was the result of individual decisions in local schools by teachers with large populations of Muslim students. Unfortunately, many of these students have been taught by parents and mosques that the holocaust never happened and that the Crusades were an unprovoked attack on Islam by European Christians. History books that present these events in any other light, they believe, are part some giant conspiracy designed to attack their very religion.
If anybody needs to hear these facts, it is the children who are being abused by those who are teaching the same hateful lies that have helped turn the Middle East into the self-destructive and often suicidal mess it is today.

  • Governor Mitt Romney's Remarks at Yeshiva University: Here's an interesting snippet about Iran's nuclear ambitions:

"In January I was at the Herzliya conference and I discussed the threat of Iran. Since then, Iran continues to operate its nuclear program in defiance of the UN Security Council. It's expanded its centrifuge operations in Natanz. It's issued a new banknote that features a red nuclear symbol superimposed on the map of Iran.
"Earlier this month, Iran boasted the production of nuclear fuel on an 'industrial level' with a goal of installing 50,000 centrifuges. On April 9th, Iran marked a new national holiday - 'Nuclear Day.'
Just look at the extent of their activity. These show the nuclear sites in Iran. This is not a little narrow project. Does the world understand what's going on here? Do they recognize the threat which is posed by this nuclear-developing nation?"

  • CAIR HOARDS DOS $ FROM REAL TARGETS: Atlas Shrugs reports on Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) seeking Department of Homeland Security $$.
  • Boeing looks to algae as alternative aviation fuel: Flight International (not MSM, a trade magazine) reports on Boeing's search for biofuels for carbon (as in CO2) neutrality. Sadly the article doesn't mention the big implication: energy independence from petrodollar-funded terrorists. Well worth reading anyway.
  • Boeing Supports Successful Intercept Test of Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense: One paragraph says it all:

The SM-3 Block IA, fired from the guided missile cruiser USS Lake Erie, destroyed the short-range ballistic missile target launched from the Navy's Pacific Missile Range Facility on Kauai, Hawaii. Once the Aegis BMD system guided the SM-3 to the right point in space, the SM-3 kinetic warhead successfully acquired the target and computed an accurate guidance and control intercept trajectory for the hit-to-kill intercept.

With a likely upcoming Israel-Syria war + North Korea's & Iran's shared crush on missiles and nukes… missile defense matters. The same "Star Wars" Strategic Defense Initiative the left likes to ridicule is now at sea, protecting America and her allies. BRAVO BOEING!!!

  • Al Qaeda 7/7 ‘mastermind’ foiled in Iraq: I figure this Atlas Shrugs blog post about "Abd al-Hadi al-Iraqi, a former major in Saddam Hussein’s army" the "al-Qaeda leader who is thought to have devised the plan for the July 7 suicide bombings in London" arguably makes a great finale.

You're always welcome to explore the links for more details.
