Finally, A Home For Liberals

Published by MaxRedline under Northwest

European astronomers today announced the discovery of the first Earth-like planet (or in Stark-Trek speak, a Class M planet) outside our solar system. With temperatures similar to what we're used to, it's regarded as the best candidate to date for life to exist. With gravity capable of sustaining an atmosphere, it also lies in that rare sweet-spot in which the temperature range permits liquid water to remain on the surface. And the best thing about it, from the perspective of a centrist or a conservative, is that it's 20 light years away from Earth. If we get started now, we just may have an excellent shot at saving our planet from the likes of AlGore, Pelosi, Reid, Sheryl Crow, Rosie O'Donnel, and their minions!

Cultural Marxism

Published by MaxRedline under Northwest

Ever noticed how environmental alarmists never have any workable solutions to what they see as problems? It's all the same old tune, wheezing and raunching along: Give up, stop, quit. Just don't expect us to do it, because we're special. And oh, by the way - don't develop new technologies. Europe and some African countries have famously rejected Genetically Modified (GMO) food crops, for example. In Europe's case, they simply refuse to try anything unless it's been proven absolutely, positively, 100% safe. Fearful of trying anything new, they've gone from being leaders to passive followers. Meanwhile, in African countries, some of them are convinced that GMO products are yet another attempt by the sneaky, underhanded Americans to poison them.

Terrorism rears its head at more community colleges…

Seems to me as if this isn't just a regional, but a Western USA problem. April 25, 2007 3 More Colleges Disrupted by Threats Amid Post-Virginia Tech Fears

Amid heightened fears over campus safety since last week’s murderous shooting rampage at Virginia Tech, three more colleges on Tuesday were the scenes of disruptive threats.

Well, well they included a school in California as well as the two others in the AP story yesterday. Stand at the ready.
