You have to understand a couple of things: while little Donny (Possum) talks a big fight, he is in fact all hat and no cattle. He routinely says stuff like "we’re willing to go to sandbags and rifles to defend that" - but when challenged, he won’t. There’s a reason why he resorts to expletives so often - without them, he’d be unable to express himself at all. The only comments he is able to make (or as you appropriately note: spew) are born of ignorance. When unable to think, and when capable only of absorbing and parroting back rhetoric which makes one feel good, the predictable result is exemplified on a regular basis by our little pal, Donny.

The "shrub" as you so desparagingly name our President does in fact speak for America, whether you like it or not. Your disrespect for the man has blinded you to the respect you owe to the office. President Bush’s authority to speak for America is granted to him in Article II of the Constitution of the United States.

I can’t believe you are so blinded by hatred of a man that you willfully spew ignorant comments that indicate a total lack of understanding of our Constitution. I also can’t believe that you are so blindly adherent to the socialist left that you can defend Nancy Pelosi’s willful criminal acts.

The Speaker of the House carries NO diplomatic authority whatsoever. No member of Congress does. Even more so when that member is a member of the House of Representatives. The closest a Congressperson comes to having any diplomatic authority is when they vote to confirm or deny the appointment of an ambassador or to confirm or deny a treaty. Only Senators have THAT privilege, not Representatives, and no statements to the contrary will change it.

Possum you don’t have a leg to stand on. Whether the law has been enforced in the past or not isn’t the real issue and you know it. The law is still on the books despite several attempts to repeal it.

Speaker Pelosi went despite being requested by the only constitutionally authorized body with diplomatic powers in the nation not to go.
She engaged a foreign power in diplomacy to alter that powers behaviors
She did so in a manner that undermined existing diplomatic efforts
She did so knowingly and willingly.
Her actions set back our diplomatic efforts in many ways, and with lasting effect.
She acted as an unauthorized ambassador despite having no constitutional authority to do so
She usurped constitutional authority reserved to the executive branch of government.
No Republican in my recollection has done all of these things.

Whether the Logan act is enforced or not, she violated her oath of office and deserves censure at the very least, expulsion from the House of Representatives, or even Impeachment.Don’t call that "bullshit". Her actions border on the treasonous.

Much better put than my puny post on the subject, but it’s clear that we’re on the same wavelength on this. I was going to suggest that we were on the same page, but in any discussion regarding the House or Senate, that whole "page" thing gets a little dicey…..
