Simon's blog today– he's spitting mad over Iran's be-scarving of Faye Turney, one of the Brits taken hostage by Iran in the Iraqi part of Shatt-al-arab– we got to thinking…Rosie O'Donnell and many, many vocal people in the media on the left don't seem to understand: if you're a woman, and the islamo-fascists win, you had better hope you look good in a headscarf. Who gains by this? The Zionists and big oil. Meanwhile, we get screwed. We get screwed at the pump - anytime Iran needs a few extra bucks all they have to do is grab someone or make a nasty comment and the price spikes $10 a barrel - and at the same time we pay an environmental cost and a big hit in the defense budget, which even without the war allots a huge sum to "mideast peace" and keeping the sealanes open.
And "we" don’t even use most of that oil… Europe and Japan does… Sucker… And the revenue accrues to people like Abdullah Sandbunny, who is richer that Croesus, and to big oil…

Meanwhile, as we rely on "free markets" - what a fucking sick joke - as a substitute for energy policy things just get worse and the final cost we will not escape grows…

Bring the army home now. Let he Iraqis pick their new Saddam and watch them all war until they finally get tired of it. Develop an energy policy and alternatives. Without our demand their price will collapse.
