Today was the Fifth Annual International Eat A Tasty Animal for PETA (IEATAPETA) Day

Did you celebrate?  I did, but admittedly I can only make that claim after the fact, as I only found out about this day long after I had already had wolfed down a Wendy's Hamburger and Chicken Sandwich.

Here is the info, the what and why about it (via Michelle Malkin):

Don't forget, this Thursday, March 15th, is the fifth annual International Eat a Tasty Animal for PETA (IEATAPETA) Day, the day on which we annoy vegans the world over, and PETA, which is right here in my state of Virginia.

From the original IEAFPD pos

PETA has started yet another offensive ad campaign. This one really reaches bottom-they are using Holocaust terminology, quotes, and pictures to liken the "slaughter" of animals to the slaughter of the Jews by the Nazis.

Rudy vs. Mrs. Bill Clinton

It's still really early in the game, but recent Rasmussen numbers show Mrs. Bill Clinton trailing Rudy 41% to his 49%.  Tied at 46% apiece back in November, Giuliani's gain also is said to include support from about one-fifth of Democrats.  Brownback also seems to have a shot in a matchup with Mrs. Clinton, but fares less well abainst Obama. McCain appears too close to call;  only Rudy appears at this time as a likely winner against any of the present Dem candidates.

Claiming Ownership Of 9/11

Wtc911 Among other terrorist acts, including sawing off the head of journalist Daniel Pearl, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed nonetheless expressed regret for taking the lives of children.  However, he added, "The language of war is victims".

The transcripts refer to a claim by Mohammed that he was tortured by the CIA, although he said he was not under duress at Guantanamo when he confessed to his role in the attacks. The CIA has said its interrogation practices are legal, and it does not use torture.
