Left-ards harassing US troops and wishing to restrict their freedom of movement in the vicinity of Fort Lewis, Tacoma, WA, USA makes YouTube.
The new Goddess of Conservatism also links to Blackfive - The Last Flight of Lieutenant Landaker. Will put tears in your eyes. But with respect to Mrs. Malkin, there's also this bit of poetry that I posted earlier today:
. . .
"When covering the woman's head is more important than financial and administrative corruption, embezzlement, and betrayal of the homeland - do not be astonished, you are in an Arab country…
"When minorities are persecuted and oppressed, and if they demand their rights, are accused of being a fifth column or a Trojan horse - be upset, you are in an Arab country…
"When women are seen as house ornaments which can be replaced at any time - bemoan your fate, you are in an Arab country.
"When birth control and family planning are perceived as a Western plot - place your trust in Allah, you are in an Arab country…
"When at any time, there can be a knock on your door and you will be dragged off and buried in a dark prison - you are in an Arab country…
"When fear constantly lives in the eyes of the people - you can be certain that you are in an Arab country."

I am always grateful for our troops and their service, not to mention their radiant courage.
Some of us have not and will not forget that it is the US Soldier - not the protestor - whom defends our right to nonviolent protest. It is the US Army Sergeant, not the coward who called him a "douchebag" (
4:36 left in the video), that defends freedom of speech and our blogging rights, too!
G*D BLESS AMERICA AND OUR SOLDIERS - AS WELL AS THOSE OF OUR ALLIES SERVING WITH THEM!!!!

Another reporter who occasionally criticized the Russian government has mysteriously assumed ambient temperature. Ivan Safronov, a reporter for Kommersant after leaving the Russion Space Forces as a colonel , has apparently succumbed to injuries incurred as a result of a "spacewalk" from a height of five stories. Such accidents seem to occur with astonishing frequency in "Pootie-Poots" regime. Is Bush paying any attention at all? Sure doesn't look as though he is.

Among France's most well-regarded scientists - one who, in fact sounded an early warning about the catastophic, human-caused, global warming that we must now endure - comes a "Hey, wait" moment. The backpeddling has begun. Of course, being French, surrender is generally expected. But only from their military and their average citizens. It's an entirely different thing when one of their best and most respected geochemists backs away from The Reverend AlGore's New Religion.
With a wealth of data now in, Dr. Allegre has recanted his views. To his surprise, the many climate models and studies failed dismally in establishing a man-made cause of catastrophic global warming. Meanwhile, increasing evidence indicates that most of the warming comes of natural phenomena. Dr. Allegre now sees global warming as over-hyped and an environmental concern of second rank.

Orbusmax points to Little Green Footballs reporting on a (highly probable) terrorist probe of American Airlines. If you travel, you probably want to be on higher alert the next few months - 9/11 was preceded by several probes in the preceding summer.
In other anti-Jihad news, Little Green Footballs notes CBS 60 Minutes story on internet jihad and Mike Adams posts an update to the story I blogged about for you last week. The website he wrote about - Global War - is now off-line (and I don't know why but I have my hunches).

From the Washington State House Republicans:
Kretz bill would inject accountability to Salmon Recovery Project funding
Legislation that would increase accountability in the funding of Washington salmon recovery projects is moving in Olympia. House Bill 1598, sponsored by Rep. Joel Kretz, R-Wauconda, passed the House unanimously and will now be considered by the Senate.
“This bill would be a first step toward putting a little bit of accountability into the salmon recovery program,” Kretz said. “The Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board is asking to spend another $155 million dollars. I think transparency in how and where the money is spent is critical. There should be safeguards to make sure taxpayer and ratepayer money is being used properly.”
