Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!
As National Guard troops and others airlift in bales of hay to feed at least some of the estimated 340,000 cattle stuck in 15-foot snowdrifts in Colorado, PETA spokeswoman Reannon Peterson made it clear that the wealthy "animal rights" group wasn't about to drop a dime in support of the effort. Although acknowledging that many thousands of the very wild animals that PETA routinely "stands up for" - by disrupting hunts, and staging other "protests" - will likely die of starvation if no countermeasures are taken, Peterson sniffed, "It's an act of God; there's nothing to be done."
PETA will send their forces out to disrupt hunters who would brazenly propose to humanely dispatch these game animals, yet PETA will neither lift a finger nor drop a dime in support of any effort to prevent these same animals from starving to death.
Oh - and HSUS? The so-called "Humane Society of the United States"? They don't care, either.
All they want is your money.
