Holy Crap, the ‘Hawks won!
Unbelievable.
As they say, it wasn't pretty, but it is one in the W column.

Unbelievable.
As they say, it wasn't pretty, but it is one in the W column.
The second half was full of horrible plays and humorous events.
A Seahawks touchdown gave them the lead 10-13 early on, but on the kickoff return the Cowboys took the lead back. 20-13.
Then there was quite a bit of sloppy football, including a penalty on first down for the Cowboys where Kyle Kosier threw hands to the face, costing the Cowboys 10 yards.
The officials didn’t notice, but Kyle then gave them the bird.
The Seahawks came close to tying the game with a touchdown, but on first and goal at the 1 Shaun Alexander lost about 7 yards. Two plays later and it was third and goal at the 1. The Seahawks just couldn’t convert though. They gave the ball away on downs at the one.
The Seahawks received to begin the first half. The ball went out of bounds at about the one or two yard line so they started on the 40.
The Seahawks started out with a fairly weak offense and had to settle for a field goal. Then when they had the ball again, Matt Hasselbeck threw an interception. The result was a field goal for the Cowboys.
A bit later, and a completed pass that looked like a first down for the Cowboys was fumbled and the Seahawks took the ball away.
Neither offense was looking very good. The Seahawks managed to get another field goal to make the score 3-6 Seattle, but they just couldn’t get the ball into the end zone otherwise.
Have you noticed the trend toward diminishment or magnification by means of redefinition? It's really gotten weird. The lamestream media, for example - good little Leftists that they are - very consistently employs the term "undocumented worker" when what they're really talking about are illegal aliens. That's just silly. It's like referring to drug dealers as "unauthorized distributors of pharmacological products". Using the term, however, has the effect of diminishing the problem of illegal aliens by making it appear as though they're doing nothing illegal - they're merely "undocumented".
Alternatively, when talking about another item high on the Leftist agenda, they use other terms to magnify the "problem": those who disagree with their position on same-sex marriage are labeled as bigots. Such "marriages" are unilaterally referred to as a civil "right" - although of course no such "right" is conferred by either federal or state constitution. Nonetheless, failure to embrace the proposal results in cries of "discrimination". This term is employed in order to magnify the issue, and to somehow place same-sex marriage on an equal footing with racism.
As National Guard troops and others airlift in bales of hay to feed at least some of the estimated 340,000 cattle stuck in 15-foot snowdrifts in Colorado, PETA spokeswoman Reannon Peterson made it clear that the wealthy "animal rights" group wasn't about to drop a dime in support of the effort. Although acknowledging that many thousands of the very wild animals that PETA routinely "stands up for" - by disrupting hunts, and staging other "protests" - will likely die of starvation if no countermeasures are taken, Peterson sniffed, "It's an act of God; there's nothing to be done."
PETA will send their forces out to disrupt hunters who would brazenly propose to humanely dispatch these game animals, yet PETA will neither lift a finger nor drop a dime in support of any effort to prevent these same animals from starving to death.
So we'll do it.
In HABBANIYAH, Iraq, a nine-year old girl was playing with her cousin. Much later, Riyam explained how her cousin had been trying to close a heavy, metal door in front of her aunt's house when the door became unhinged and crashed down upon her body. Her skull was crushed.
US servicemen in the area sprang into action, managing to keep the girl alive until she could be flown by Marines to a trauma center, where a team of surgeons went to work. Nobody expected her to live. Yet a month later, she walked back into the TQ center from which she'd been airlifted.
"The Iraqi people of Habbaniyah hear what the coalition forces have done to save my grand daughter, and they cry. They are very grateful and you have gained them to your side," said Riyam's grandfather, Aved Shihan Ghathaib. After Riyam's operation, coalition forces learned that Ghathaib was a sheik, or tribal leader, in the town of Habbaniyah.
From the Seattle Times:
OLYMPIA — Gov. Christine Gregoire on Thursday said the state would move ahead with replacing the Alaskan Way Viaduct with an elevated highway if the city of Seattle fails to let voters decide the project’s future this spring.
Gregoire last month called for a public vote in Seattle to break the political stalemate over whether to build a more affordable elevated structure or a tunnel that she considers financially out of reach.
The tunnel option is financially out of reach. I’m glad that she’s spanked the Seattle City Council by telling them this needs to be put to a vote, especially since those spoiled brats don’t trust the people to “make the right decision.”
In recent weeks, some Seattle City Council members have questioned whether the issue should go before voters.
