We all remember what happened to Rep. Mark Foley. People in Washington remember Spokane Mayor Jim West. Now a top level Lewis County administrator has been caught up in a similar scandal and fired for it. This time it has resulted in a few law enforcement careers going down the tubes and at least one divorce, with a few police wives investigating their husbands too.

Well, the Seahawks defense played just as poorly as they did a few weeks ago. The offense was totally pathetic too. Seneca Wallace handed this game to the 49ers in a nice box with pretty wrapping paper and a bow.

There were a few good moments. Shaun Alexander started out pretty lack-luster but improved in the third quarter. The story of the game though was four turnovers by the Seahawks, all of which translated into points scored against the Seahawks. [Correction: All but the last one]

That coupled with phenomenal rushing by Frank Gore turned into an upset defeat for the Seahawks that proves that you can’t play poorly and hope to get by on luck every week.

If I had to choose an MVP it would be Frank Gore for his 200+ rushing yards. His only real mistake came in the fourth quarter when he fumpled the ball, but grace was with him as Seneca Wallace threw his third interception of the day on the very next play.

Drudge reports that Rangel Will Seek to Reinstate Draft.  After all the accusations against the Republicans and Bush, guess who is actually goping to do it.  And this is not his first attempt, he tried this in 2003 with the help of Sen Hollings, also a Democrat.  On a related note, Sen McCain, the man who would be president agrees that more troops are needed.  I didn't see where he suggested conscription though.

Speaking of McCain, he has now said he supports a reversal of Roe v Wade and returning the ability to pass laws tot he States.  Apparently he is a Federalist after all.
